Chinese Services Group

New Zealand and China have a long-standing business relationship. With the impetus provided through the New Zealand-China Free Trade Agreement (FTA) signed in 2008, China is now New Zealand’s largest trading partner in goods and second largest overall including trade in services.

The Deloitte New Zealand Chinese Services Group (CSG) is a member of the Deloitte global CSG with professionals who speak Chinese and/or understand Chinese business culture in over 130 countries and regions.

Led by Jenny Liu, Partner and CSG Leader, the New Zealand CSG comprises bilingual business and tax advisory professionals with experience working in both New Zealand and China. When providing services to clients, the New Zealand CSG works closely with the global CGS to ensure clients receive comprehensive advice regarding expansion into China or investments into New Zealand. It is our goal to help our clients expand their global footprint.

The Deloitte CSG is positioned to help investors to understand the different business practices when entering a new country to break down cultural and language barriers. Deloitte New Zealand’s CSG assists with:

  • Chinese entities including SOEs and POEs (privately owned enterprises) seeking investment and trade opportunities in New Zealand
  • New Zealand businesses seeking investment and trade opportunities in China

With access to Deloitte New Zealand’s 1700 professionals and the Deloitte Global CSG network, CSG New Zealand provides cross-border tax and business structuring services, high net worth individuals (HNWI) global asset planning, and business and financial advisory and compliance services.
