Low Hwee Chua

Hwee Chua is a tax partner and has more than 25 years of experience in taxation services including two years with the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore. He is the Regional Managing Partner for the Tax & Legal practice in Deloitte Singapore and Deloitte Southeast Asia.

Hwee Chua specialises in corporate income tax and international tax; assisting clients to confirm that their businesses’ tax affairs are managed efficiently and cost effectively. He has extensive experience in the areas of tax compliance and tax consultancy work for local and multinational companies (MNCs). He has also been extensively involved in providing tax advice for a wide variety of tax consulting projects including restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, tax due diligence, and the structuring of inbound and outbound investments. Hwee Chua has also assisted MNCs to understand the availability and the qualification requirements of tax incentives and grants with the Economic Development Board.

Since 2016, Hwee Chua is recognised by the International Tax Review as one of Singapore’s leading practitioner in its Tax Controversy Leaders guide. In addition, Hwee Chua is listed as a leading tax adviser in Singapore by the Expert Guides.

Hwee Chua is an Accredited Tax Advisor (Income Tax) with the Singapore Institute of Accredited Tax Professionals (SIATP), an accreditation body for tax professionals in Singapore. He is also a Board member of the SIATP and the Tax Academy of Singapore.
