Romualdo 'Mel' Bea

Mel Bea brings to Deloitte extensive board directorship and finance leadership experience across a range of industries and a broad network with key regulatory agencies, such as the BIR and the SEC.

Prior to joining the Firm, he was the Group CFO and Treasurer of a holding company with interests in real estate, property management, and the health and wellness sectors. During his tenure, he was able to raise billions worth of fresh financing for the group’s new projects and, in collaboration with IT, execute the organization’s digital transformation journey. He also served as Group CFO for the holding company of one of the country’s leading, fully integrated end-to-end supply chain solutions provider, where he led the turnaround of loss-making subsidiaries into sustained profitability and closed various tax compliance weaknesses and loopholes to strengthen the organization’s governance position.

At various points in his career, Mel has also served as Group CFO of the parent company of a full service refrigerated warehousing and inventory management company, the Global Group Controller of a business process outsourcing company, and a Finance Director at one of the country’s largest telecommunication companies.
