Ronald Bernas

Ronnie has over 25 years of experience as a tax lawyer specializing in tax advisory and tax controversy. Prior to joining Deloitte, he was a Partner and Head of the Tax Practice Group in a local law firm advising dynamic and successful business organizations in the Philippines and overseas.

He has advised several multinational corporations in various sectors on mergers & acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, and cross-border transactions. He represented clients before the Bureau of Internal Revenue, Court of Tax Appeals, and Supreme Court, which have resulted in the cancellation or significant reduction of tax assessments and the grant of refund claims.
