Zakaz handlu w niedziele z podpisem Prezydenta

30 stycznia Prezydent podpisał ustawę ograniczającą handel w niedziele. Ustawa wejdzie w życie 1 marca.
Początkowo zakaz obejmie co do zasady jedynie dwie niedziele w miesiącu. W 2019 roku handel będzie dozwolony w jedną niedzielę miesięcznie. Od 2020 roku będzie obowiązywał całkowity zakaz handlu z wyjątkiem siedmiu niedziel w roku. Wolne od zakazu będą wówczas tylko: dwie niedziele handlowe przed świętami Bożego Narodzenia, jedna przed Wielkanocą i cztery dodatkowe niedziele - ostatnie niedziele: stycznia, kwietnia, czerwca oraz sierpnia.
Ustawa przewiduje szereg wyjątków od zakazu. Zakazem nie sią objęte w szczególności: stacje paliw, kwiaciarnie, apteki, kioski, placówki pocztowe, sklepy usytuowane na dworcach w zakresie związanym z bezpośrednią obsługą podróżnych oraz na lotniskach, a także sklepy internetowe, piekarnie, cukiernie i lodziarnie.
Za nieprzestrzeganie zakazu handlu w niedziele grozi grzywna od 1.000 do 100.000 zł. Inspekcja pracy zapowiedziała na ten rok wzmożone kontrole w sieciach handlowych między innymi pod kątem przestrzegania zakazu handlu w niedziele.
On 30 January the President of Poland signed the act restricting trading on Sundays. The act will come into force from 1 March this year.
At first trading will be permitted, as a rule, on two Sundays per month (the first and the last Sundays in each month). In 2019 there will only be one trading Sunday in each month. From 2020 onwards there will be a general ban on Sunday trading except for seven Sundays each year (the two Sundays before Christmas, the one before Easter and one Sunday in each of January, April, June and August).
The Act provides numerous exceptions from the trading ban. It will not cover, in particular: petrol stations, florists, pharmacies, kiosks, post offices, stores situated in railway stations which service passengers directly, shops in airports, online shops, bakeries, confectioneries and ice-cream shops.
Breach of the act restricting trade on Sundays may result in a fine of between PLN 1,000 and PLN 100,000. The labour office has announced that it will focus on retailers this years, including with regard to observing the Sunday trading ban.
