Koncepcja „Future of Work” – choć dotyczy przyszłości dzieje się i decyduje teraz.

PODCAST: C-suite@Transformation

#3 Jan Michalski will discuss digital transformation as a necessary building block of the Future of Work

Broadcasting date: 19 January 2021

C-suite@Transformation is a podcast during which I, John Guziak, discuss the new dimension of leadership in the era of technology transformation and the need to be human-centric.  I invite specialist and C-suite members to share their views.

During the nearest C-suite@Transformation meeting I ask Jan Michalski why digital is not about resolutions, being instead a continuous process embedded in our activities, both private and professional, and what experience has been transferred from client service and sales departments to the talent market in this respect.

We discuss the digital transformation, which accelerated considerable last year, and turned from being perceived as just a whim or choice into a necessity, an integral part of human development and socio-cultural changes.  Therefore (surprisingly?) it provides equal treatment to everyone, regardless of age.  Obviously, we can say that post-millennial generations may be classified as tech/digital native, having been born and grown up in the world where borders between online and offline are blurred.  However, as it turns out, this alone is not sufficient for anyone to be tech/digital savvy, i.e. able to skilfully use new technologies at home or at work.

Professional digitalization depends on digital maturity of talents, employers and organizations.  Although future-oriented, the Future of Work begins here and now.

Jan Michalski shares his experience of digital not necessarily being our choice or manifesto, but experience, which grows along with people and businesses.  Further, it means being open to change, to a new look on the existing order, which, although well-established, at times can be turned upside down and replaced with a new one, still open to change.
