KSA VAT Registration

Another step closer to VAT implementation

From 28 August onwards, all those liable or eligible to be registered for Value Added Tax (VAT) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) will be able to make use of ERAD to complete and lodge their VAT registration application.

ERAD is the KSA’s online tax administration platform offering users functionality to register for, file and pay taxes in the Kingdom, amongst other things.

VAT registration applications from certain business groups have been accepted by the General Authority for Zakat and Tax (GAZT) for some time now, but on a selected basis only. All other businesses that are liable to register for VAT must ensure that they have applied to GAZT well in advance of the VAT go-live date on 1 January 2018.

For more information about the VAT implementation in KSA, please refer to our summary document.
