Press reports about the passing of the Federal Tax Procedures Law by the United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) Federal National Council reported today and yesterday evening are correct. This law, when enacted, will set the framework for the interaction between the Federal Tax Authority (FTA), the people and the taxable persons in the UAE. It is another milestone along the journey to VAT implementation.
