Another step closer to VAT implementation
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has released the text of its Federal Tax Procedures Law (FTP) in Arabic and English. The FTP Law aims to outline the mutual rights and obligations between the Authority and the Taxpayer and any other Person dealing with the Authority with regards to Value Added Tax (VAT) and Excise Taxes, plus any future taxes, introduced in the UAE. The VAT and Excise laws and Executive Regulations have yet to be published.
