Audit & Assurance Partner
Madeline Alexander is an audit partner in Bucharest office for more than 14 years. Previously, she also held the position of partner in charge in the AERS practice in Deloitte Romania and has been the Professional Practice Director for the Balkan practice. She is also the EU Account Leader in Romania, EU Account being one of the firm’s Global Crown Jewel Accounts. She has more than 25 years in the audit profession.
She is responsible for international audits and technical advice to numerous local, international, publicly listed companies, mostly in the consumer business, media, manufacturing, retail & distribution, pharma, public sector. She has extensive experience in IFRS, US GAAP and Romanian GAAP, SOX compliance and implementation. Madeline also coordinated engagements of compliance for SOX requirements and US reporters.
In addition to being an experienced audit partner in recent years, she has worked on various projects such as: agreed-upon procedures services; evaluation of financing requests and payment/ reimbursement requests related to EU funded projects; internal audit and internal control.
