Deloitte announces the launch of a legal bot
Moscow, 17 May 2017. Deloitte CIS is pleased to announce the launch of a legal bot. It can help in preparing documents for the accreditation of legal entities as IT companies.
The bot is based on the Telegram platform and is accessible at t.me/deloitte_legalbot. It relies on user answers and data from government registers to prepare the package of documents required to obtain accreditation from the Russian Ministry of Communications and Mass Media. With accreditation, the entity becomes eligible for tax benefits available to IT companies, in particular, a reduced rate of insurance contributions (14 percent instead of the standard 30 percent). After accreditation is obtained, the bot can assist in applying the tax benefits and reduced contribution rates. The bot is available free of charge.
The bot is Delotte’s first proprietary legal technology product in Russia. Deloitte is currently working on a number of other solutions aimed at automating legal work.
Artem Tolkachev, Director of Legal Services for Tech Projects at Deloitte CIS, commented: “Although the bot does not use breakthrough technologies, it completes the required actions and helps deliver substantial benefits. With this simple example, we want to demonstrate the need to automate routine tasks, and invite all interested companies to participate in a discussion of the opportunities opened by technology in terms of streamlining legal departments’ operations”.
