The General Authority of Zakat and Tax (GAZT) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has published new user manuals covering the making of an application to obtain an excise tax warehouse license and the preparation of transitional return.
Excise tax warehouse licenses are only available to excise tax registrants who meet specific criteria.
Transitional returns must be submitted by any person holding commercial stocks of excise unpaid excise goods as on 11 June 2017. The return must be submitted within 45 days of this date.
The manuals explain how users can log onto GAZTs web portal and make the necessary applications/submissions.
At this stage the manuals have only been released in Arabic.

A further and more detailed update will be issued in due course. All affected businesses should register, apply for a warehouse license, and file a transitional return as appropriate.
