Oman VAT awareness seminar 2018
We are delighted to invite you to attend the Deloitte seminar on VAT introduction in the GCC being held in Muscat, Oman on Thursday 11 October 2018.
The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) have embarked on a journey to implement Value Added Tax (VAT). The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) have already introduced VAT effective from 1st January 2018 and the other GCC countries are looking to implement the tax soon.
As for Oman, we understand that the government is moving a step forward towards the implementation of the indirect tax and the local VAT legislation is currently under development. That said, businesses should already start preparing to achieve day 1 readiness.
The effects of the implementation are far-reaching, whether from an organizational, operational, commercial or financial perspective. Deloitte has therefore launched a series of VAT awareness seminars covering the principles of VAT, the most frequently asked questions by businesses in Oman in addition to specific industry impacts based on the lessons learned in the UAE and KSA.
To launch this event, please plan to join us for breakfast at 08:30 with our opening session beginning at 09:00. You can also send us your list of questions ahead of the seminar that we can tackle during our Q&A session.
Participants will have the opportunity to interact with a number of Deloitte’s core team of tax professionals and specialists, who are dedicated to serving clients – locally and across borders.
We look forward to having you at the seminar.
