Within Deloitte Private we recognise, and specialise, in four distinct market segments. This enables us to focus our services, communications and programmes across a market that is both large and varied.
Family Businesses & HNWI and their Family Offices
We advise ambitious families and individuals, and the businesses they own and run, working with early‑stage entrepreneurs through to long‑established, multi‑generational family companies to manage the three elements that comprise a family business ecosystem – The Family, The Business and The Private Wealth. We help high‑net‑worth individuals (HNWI) and family offices manage their investments and regulatory and compliance affairs.
We work with private and small listed companies who face a range of challenges that affect not only the success of the business enterprise, but also the professional and personal goals of their owners. Characteristics: Private businesses (non-family run), professionally managed; CEO/COO are normally not the founder(s).
Through wide‑ranging, integrated propositions, we support Private Equity houses and their portfolio companies throughout the transaction lifecycle. Characteristics: either the parent (i.e., the ‘house’) or subsidiaries (i.e., the ‘portfolio companies’) of private equity firms.
Small, high growth enterprises
These are the fastest growing, innovative private businesses in the region, established to address disruption within their sector. Characteristics: attractive startups, small companies with strong future potential, innovative private businesses, scale-ups and unicorns.
Sunder Nurani is specialized in the Audit function of the Insurance industry and has more than 20 years of experience in Audit. He is a strong advocate of continuous learning and is a Partner in Audit & Assurance, including Audit Learning in the United Arab Emirates.
Rich is a Consulting Partner and the Leader of the Clients & Industries & Salesforce Middle East. He has been with Deloitte for over 25 years and has spent time working in the UK, Europe and Africa. Rich's client work purely focuses on Financial Services and Digital Transformation space.
Hani M. Khoury
Hisham is the partner in charge of the Business Risk Service line in the UAE and Qatar, with 18+ years’ experience in the ME, he has assisted various clients in the region with corporate governance assignments, assessing internal audit departments/ partnering, risk consultancy & reviewing internal control environments of entities like commercial/ investment banks.
