FSI Breakfast seminar

The Future of Private Banking and Wealth Management

Welcome to a breakfast seminar regarding the Private Banking and Wealth Management industry. During the seminar you will have the opportunity to listen to two speakers within the field that will talk about problems related to the industry and how to adress these.

The profitability of European Wealth Managers has been in constant decline in recent years, with profit margins falling by 40 percent between 2000 and 2015. During the same period, the market size for Private Banking measured by the bankable assets of European millionaire households has grown by more than 60 percent.

This increasing gap between profitability and market size shows that Wealth Managers are failing more and more to serve clients successfully with their existing business models and approaches. This suggests that the industry is facing an innovation gap, having for years prioritized other strategic levers such as industrialization and M&A. The Private Banking and Wealth Management industry needs to reconsider how to look at innovation and how to become more innovative.

Patrik Spiller
Partner at Deloitte Consulting in Switzerland

Patrik will discuss the term “innovation”, describe the industries’ innovation gap, review the current business models in the Private Banking and Wealth Management industry, present possible solutions on how innovation can be utilized to transform business models, and much more.

Nicholas Brewer
Product Marketing Director at Temenos

Nicholas will be presenting exclusive findings on the latest industry research report, with insights into the importance of client services, AI and Analytics as well as the impact and importance of the mass affluent market. Furthermore, he will share his knowledge on what success will look like for the Wealth Manager of the future and how High-Net-Worth Investors’ attitudes and goals are defining the industry.
