Keynote Speaker

Philip Yuen
Chief Executive Officer, Deloitte Southeast Asia
Chairman, Deloitte Singapore

Philip Yuen is the CEO of Deloitte Southeast Asia and Chairman of Deloitte Singapore.  He has over 30 years of public accounting experience in the United Kingdom and Singapore. 

Philip is a board member and audit committee chair of the Singapore Accountancy Commission and the Institute of Technical Education. He is also an Industry Advisory Committee member for the accountancy programme at the Singapore Institute of Technology, a member of the School of Accountancy Advisory Board at the Singapore Management University and Chairman of the Board of Governors of NorthLight School. 

He holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree from the University of Liverpool, England.  He is a Chartered Accountant of Singapore, a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and a Fellow Member of CPA Australia. He was also the President of CPA Australia (Singapore Division) from 2015 to 2016; and a board member and audit committee chair of the Singapore Land Authority from 2018 to 2021.

Kevin McGuigan
Vice President & Managing Director, South East Asia and Country Leader, Singapore

Kevin McGuigan was appointed the Vice President & Managing Director of Southeast Asia and Country Leader of Singapore at 3M in 2019. Kevin started out in 3M as a Sales Representative in the Personal Safety Division in 2003 and has over 18 years of business leadership experience. With a strong focus on the Personal Safety Division, he has led business teams that span the U.S., Asia Pacific and the Globe.

Kevin’s previous assignments within 3M’s Personal Safety Division include the Business Director and National Sales Manager for the U.S. He was also previously the Global Business Manager for Scotchlite Reflective Material at 3M and APAC Business Development Manager for 3M’s Personal Safety Division.

Kevin was on the Board of Directors at the Women’s Advocates in St. Paul, MN which was the first women and children’s shelter in the United States. In August 2021, Kevin was asked to become a Diversity Advisory Board Member at University of Minnesota, Duluth, and a Board Member at POWERS & Women@NTU in Singapore.  Kevin is passionate about ensuring diversity within 3M.

Kevin holds an M.B.A from the University of St. Thomas and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Minnesota Duluth.

Karen Loon

Karen Loon is a Non-Executive Director and former partner at PwC Singapore with over 30 years of deep, cross-cultural experience working with local, regional and MNC organisations across Asia Pacific, particularly in Australia and Singapore. She specialises in banking, capital markets and wealth management; governance, risk management and controls; accounting, audit and financial due diligence; and organisational change, diversity and inclusion, and talent management.

Karen has worked with corporate boards throughout her professional career, and has been an independent director or committee member of corporates, professional organisations and not-for-profits for the past 17 years. She is currently an Independent Director and Audit Committee Chair of Bank Pictet & Cie (Asia) Ltd, Chair of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand Singapore Council, and a Board Member and Treasurer of INSEAD Director Network.

A passionate people and team leader, Karen is a recognised keynote speaker and panellist, and has been externally acknowledged for her work at PwC as its Asia Pacific and Singapore Diversity Leader in driving change programmes in talent diversity and inclusion.
She is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, an INSEAD Certified Director, a Graduate member of the Australian Institute of Directors, and has an MBA from Macquarie Graduate School of Management.

Shai Ganu
Managing Director and Global Practice Leader - Executive Compensation and Governance

Mr Shai Ganu is the global leader of Willis Towers Watson’s Executive Compensation and Governance practice and its Talent and Rewards business across ASEAN and South Asia. He leads a team of over 500 exceptional consultants, across 40 countries, who are trusted advisers to clients on issues related to board and executive compensation, board effectiveness, organisation transformation, and human-capital governance. He has extensive experience working closely with C-suite, boards, remuneration committees and nomination committees of more than 100 leading companies across the region.

He serves on the boards and human resource committees of leading companies and not-for-profit organisations in the region.

Gek Choo brings with her more than 25 years of experience in public accounting in Singapore, with a focus on serving multinational and local companies in the real estate and hospitality industries. She has advised many companies on initial public offerings on the Singapore Exchange and has facilitated external seminars on updates to financial reporting standards and initial public offerings.

Gek Choo is part of the Singapore Real Estate team and is the Talent Leader for Deloitte Southeast Asia. She leads the Deloitte Southeast Asia and Singapore’s Centre for Corporate Governance, which develops advance thinking and promotes dialogues with key influences, business leaders, corporations and their boards of directors, investors, the accounting profession, academia and government on current and emerging corporate governance issues. She is also the leader for Deloitte Singapore’s SheXO Program, which supports the personal and professional development of established, emerging or aspiring women leaders by creating a supportive environment for them to connect, grow and drive change in communities to advance women in leadership.

She is a faculty member of the Deloitte University Asia Pacific and conducts leadership programme for Deloitte leaders in the Asia Pacific region. She is a Chartered Accountant of Singapore and a member of ISCA, as well as Fellow Member of CPA Australia.
