Overview

As the individual income tax filing season approaches, join us in this informative seminar for guidance and clarifications on tax reporting of employment income in Singapore. We will provide an overview of the latest updates and developments from the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS), Ministry of Manpower (MOM), and the Central Provident Fund (CPF) Board, as well as appropriate guidance on areas which warrant attention to manage compliance risks in relation to the tax reporting of employee remuneration.

Together with the leaders and practitioners from our Global Employer Services (GES) and Business Process Solutions (BPS) teams, we will provide insights to the potential challenges and opportunities before us—bringing into focus the forces of change impacting businesses and the evolvement of the global workforce driving cross-border work arrangements. We will discuss the Singapore individual tax, social security and immigration implications arising from remote work arrangements, short-term business travels and virtual assignments, as well as practical steps to manage compliance risks.

Participants of this seminar will also gain insights on how to complete the employer’s return of employee’s remuneration (Forms IR8A) and tax clearance returns (Form IR21) and understand when and for whom these employer returns are required to be filed with the IRAS.
