Deloitte has partnered with Enterprise Singapore on the SME Sustainability Reporting Programme (SME SRP) to help Singapore non-listed small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) kickstart their Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) disclosure journey by preparing their first sustainability reports.

With expert guidance from Deloitte, this programme equips you with the resources and tools needed to produce high-quality, impactful sustainability reports that meet regulatory standards. You will receive support in identifying material areas, collecting data based on the identified material areas, and report drafting in line with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) reporting frameworks. Furthermore, you will receive exclusive post-event updates to stay ahead of evolving regulatory requirements. We will support you in embedding sustainability into your core operations, fostering long-term growth and resilience in an increasingly sustainability-driven marketplace.

Programme Scope

Materiality assessment comprises stakeholder identification, stakeholder engagement sessions, peer benchmarking with reference to industry standards, and prioritisation of material topics.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage your identified stakeholders through a questionnaire and stakeholder engagement sessions to identify their concerns and potential material topics.
  • Peer Benchmarking: Benchmark your performance against peers' disclosures to identify best practices and material topics in the industry.
  • Material Topic Prioritisation: Develop an inventory of material ESG topics and relevant reporting metrics and develop a materiality prioritisation table to prioritise the material topics based on discussions with your management.

Data collection includes providing a data collection template, reviewing and processing of the ESG data received and builing a Power BI dashboard.

  • Data Collection Template: Obtain a data collection template based on your prioritised material topics and the requirements of GRI, as well as additional metrics from the SGX 27 core metrics.
  • Processed Data for Reporting: Collate and translate raw ESG data for reporting, reviewing the data collected for accuracy and completeness.
  • Power BI Dashboard: Build a Power BI dashboard featuring the SGX 27 core metrics, which will assist in your future data collection purposes.

Report writing involves crafting the structure of the sustainability report and producing report drafts.

  • Report Structure: Produce a basic report structure, outlining the chapters and the key messages.
  • Report Drafts: Gain insights for value-added writing and iterate the drafts based on your feedback.
  • Utilising the DBS Accelerator Tool co-developed by Deloitte for a high-level roadmap.
