Deloitte named to Universum’s “World’s Most Attractive Employer” list for 11th consecutive year has been saved
SINGAPORE, 4 October 2019 – Universum, in partnership with CNN Money, today named Deloitte to its 2019 “World's Most Attractive Employer” rankings, a list of the top 50 most desirable workplaces for business and STEM students entering the workforce. Ranking fourth this year, Deloitte has made the list for all 11 years that Universum has conducted the survey.
The “World's Most Attractive Employer” rankings are drawn from a survey of nearly 247,500 respondents on what attributes they find most desirable in an employer. Business and STEM students in the world’s 12 largest economies evaluated companies based on 40 characteristics key to their employment decisions.
“At Deloitte, we consider our people to be our most important asset, which is why we are honored to rank again among the most desirable employers,” says Michele Parmelee, Deloitte Global Chief People and Purpose Officer. “How and where work is done is changing, and we believe Deloitte’s differentiator is our ability to support our professionals in creating their own unique talent experience, including through new approaches to connectivity, learning and development, and advancement.”
As a leading professional services network globally, Deloitte’s talent strategy has been designed to attract and retain the world’s brightest talent through programs and processes that advance inclusivity, diversity, flexibility, work-life balance, and well-being in all its forms.
Deloitte’s dedication and support of its people is further illustrated by its significant investment in leadership development opportunities. This includes its network of Deloitte University (DU) centers around the world. Through DU, Deloitte professionals advance their careers and participate in business leadership development programs in a world-class learning environment that inspires them to be their best.
In FY2019, nearly 133,000 Deloitte professionals around the world experienced DU. Additionally, a new personalized digital experience, powered by AI and machine learning, will provide Deloitte professionals with learning recommendations and access to the latest knowledge and skills-based learning they need, when and where they need it.
To be considered for the “World's Most Attractive Employer” rankings, a company must rank in the top 90 percent of employers within at least six of the 12 largest economies in the world, weighted by GDP. These markets represent 70 percent of the world’s economy.
About World’s Most Attractive Employers Ranking
The results of the World’s Most Attractive Employers survey are based on the responses of 247,235 Business and Engineering/IT students from the 12 largest economies in the world (Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Russia, South Korea, the UK, and the USA). To be considered, companies must be ranked among the most attractive employers (Top 90% of the Universum Most Attractive Employer Ranking) in at least 6 of the 12 markets. Results are weighted by GDP, so that a high-ranking position in the U.S. has a greater influence than a high ranking position in India, for example. This year’s survey was conducted from October 2018 to April 2019.
