Deloitte Pesta Sukan 2019
The most anticipated netball carnival in SG!
Deloitte Pesta Sukan 2019
Deloitte Singapore is the title sponsor for Pesta Sukan 2019.
Pesta Sukan is an annual netball carnival organised by Netball Singapore that reaches out to the netball community and netball enthusiasts.
Deloitte Singapore’s sponsorship of Pesta Sukan is part of an on-going partnership with Netball Singapore to develop netball in Singapore at both the grassroots and the professional level.
At Deloitte, we commit ourselves in creating a more inclusive Singapore where people of different abilities can live life to their fullest and participate fully as members of our society. We believe this can only be achieved by extending our efforts beyond our organisation and into our communities. We do so through different initiatives and partnerships, which includes our partnership with Netball Singapore and through Pesta Sukan where we raise funds for various charity organisations.
Deloitte Singapore, through Pesta Sukan, will be raising funds to support AWWA – a Singapore-based social service organisation serving over 6,000 of the disadvantaged across life stages. This is our second year raising funds for AWWA. 25% of Pesta Sukan’s registration fees will proceed to fund the new AWWA School that will be ready in 2021. The new AWWA School is a Special Education (SPED) school appointed by the Ministry of Education that will provide special education to 300 students aged 7 to 18 years old primarily with autism. Our support for the new AWWA School is aligned to our network-wide initiative – WorldClass, where we aspire to prepare fifty million futures by 2030 for a world of opportunity. To achieve this bold ambition, we are applying our skills, experience and global reach to invest in education, skills development, and access to opportunity.
What are you waiting for? Register here and join us for an eventful day!
About AWWA
AWWA is Singapore-based, with an Institution of a Public Character (IPC) status that provides services such as early intervention for pre-schoolers, education and disability support for children with special needs, assistance to low-income families, caregivers, and health and social assistance for vulnerable seniors. AWWA continues to identify needs on the ground and fill the gaps in the community through evolution and innovation. AWWA also works with community partners, government agencies, volunteers, and donors who have rendered strong support to further empower the disadvantaged, and make Singapore a more caring and inclusive society.
A new AWWA school will be built as part of AWWA’s effort to empower the children and youth, and AWWA needs to raise 5% for co-payment of standard items (e.g classrooms) and 100% of all non-standard facilities (e.g wet playground). AWWA will require the generosity of donors to help finance the full S$1.2 million building fund.
If you would like to make a donation to the second AWWA School building fund, you can donate online here or write a cheque payable to “AWWA Ltd”. As an approved Institution of a Public Character, a 250% tax deduction is granted by Singapore regulatory agencies for all cash donations.
