“Deloitte has a focus on work-life balance, a good mentorship system, structured training programmes and employs many national athletes, which motivates me to pursue my own sport.
The vibrant working environment is what I am looking for in my career and that attracted me to apply for the Deloitte Scholarship.
As a Deloitte Scholar, besides the monetary support for my school fees, I was also given the opportunity to be a part of the Accelerated Career Program (ACP) without having to go through a selection progress. The ACP allows me to get a head-start in my career in Audit.”
- Gary Loo, Deloitte Scholar 2015 from NTU
“The opportunity to intern at different departments within the company is definitely a huge perk of being a Deloitte Scholar. It gives me the chance to explore the different options I have, to learn more about myself and get a clearer view of what my future career path should be. Each scholar is paired with a Mentor Partner who is both a mentor and a friend, providing guidance along the way.
I really like the friendly culture and work-life balance here in Deloitte. There are many events organised such as Audit Off-Peak party, Inter-Departmental Games, Deloitte Carnival and Mentor Appreciation Day. These events create a greater sense of belonging to the firm and gives me something to look forward to beyond work.”
- Ngui Jia Yi, Deloitte Scholar 2015 from NUS
“I applied for the Deloitte Scholarship as I believe that it will open opportunities for me to grow.
What I like most about Deloitte is the family culture which is inclusive, friendly and supportive. Deloitte’s culture aligns with my values, allowing me to excel both professionally and personally.
During my recent internship in Financial Advisory – Valuation Services, I was assigned to various projects that allowed me to learn new concepts and apply what I have picked up in school to complete the tasks. I always had seniors who are willing to teach and guide me in my work and what I learnt has been invaluable.”
- Roger Tan, Deloitte Scholar 2015 from NTU
