Dr. Christian Roland
First Executive Vice President, Head of Agile Enablement
Siam Commercial Bank

Christian is a First Executive Vice President at Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) since December 2015. In his role as Head of Transformation (2015-2018) and Head of Agile Enablement (2019) he is responsible for the digitization of the bank, the set up of an agile organization and the delivery of large-scale projects such as national e-payments, digital platforms and customer journeys, coverage strategy and robotic process automation.

Prior to joining SCB, Christian was a partner at McKinsey & Company’s Bangkok office where he mainly served banks and insurers across Asia on strategy, distribution, customer experience and digital topics. Christian joined McKinsey & Company in 2002 in Germany, and was based in Cologne, Vienna and Singapore before transferring to Bangkok in 2011.

Christian received his doctoral thesis summa cum laude from the European Business School (Germany) on the topic of “Banking Sector Liberalization in India”, and studied business administration at the European Business School (Germany), the Universidad de San Andres (Argentina) and the American Graduate School of International Management “Thunderbird” (USA).

Currently, Chutidej Chayuti occupies the position of Chief Financial Officer of KrungThai Card Public Co. Ltd. He previously held the position of Assistant Secretary General at Financial Sector Restructuring Authority and VP-Planning & Financial Business Development at Wall Street Finance & Securities Public Co. Ltd.

Chayuti received an MBA and a graduate degree from Indiana State University and an undergraduate degree from Thammasat University.

James is a Partner in our Corporate Finance Advisory team in Singapore. He has over 12 years’ experience in M&A and corporate finance across Australia and Southeast Asia. James focusses on advising the owners or acquirers of mid-market growth companies, particularly in cross-border transactions.

James consider himself exceptionally fortunate that each day his team is entrusted with advising people through some of their most complex life and career decisions, whether that be helping a founder realise their life's work or a key executive putting their career on the line in a decision to acquire a company.

James has been with Deloitte for 9 years in our Melbourne and Singapore Corporate Finance Advisory practices.
James has a Bachelor in Business and Commerce and is a Chartered Accountant.

Dr. Kirida joined the Thailand Development Research Institute, a leading independent think tank in Thailand in 2015. She is currently the Director of TDRI Economic Intelligence Service (EIS) which is TDRI’s corporate membership program. Dr. Kirida leads the preparation of content for the monthly seminars for corporate members on issues that are of high relevance and interest for business. Her specialization spans monitoring and analyzing developments of the global and Thai economies which includes the business environment, demographic changes, and technological development issues.

Dr. Kirida holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Cornell University (USA) through the prestigious Anandha Mahidol Foundation Scholarship. She finished her bachelor degree in Economics with first class honors from Thammasat University (Thailand). She was presented with the Rising Star Economist Award by the Thammasat Economic s Association in 20 10 and selected an Outstanding Alumni of Thammasat University in 2004.

With 25 years’ experience in financial advisory and investment banking business, Manpong has been appointed to be a Senior Executive Vice President, head of Issuer Marketing Division, the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), in September 2018, dedicatedly to promote new listings and build up high quality Thai listed companies.

Prior to this position, he was a Managing Director at Kasikorn Securities Public Company Limited in 2012 - 2018.

He holds BBA in Finance from Chulalongkorn University and MBA in Finance & Quantitative from Cleveland State University, Ohio, USA.

During the past few years, Naphongthawat has worked actively in the area of payment systems policy to ensure efficiency and safety of Thailand’s payment systems, including development of payment systems infrastructure, promotion of electronic payment transactions, and oversight of payment systems operators and payment service providers.

Parichart is a Partner in Risk Advisory and lead Cyber Risk Services in Deloitte Thailand. She has over 18 years’ experience in several IT audit, IT Compliance Review, IT Risk Assessment, IT Service Management, Information Security Management, Penetration Testing/Vulnerability Assessment, Data Loss Prevention Assessment & Implementation, SAP GRC implementation, PMO projects. In addition she has experienced in a number of projects for organizations seeking to establish & implement ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 20000 certifications.

Prior to joining Deloitte, she performed an IT Audit, IT security review, IT risk assessment, IT implementation consultant, Business process improvement review, Internet Banking System security review and IT internal audit services with another Big 4 Accounting Firm, especially in the area related to IT processes, network infrastructure design and security. Parichart has been involved in a number of technology and security risk services assignments with clients in various industries, such as state own enterprise, banking, securities, entertainment, hospital, telecommunication, IT service centre and manufacturing industries.

He has also served as the CFO for a diversified group of companies for 5 years and served as a Director on the Boards of several companies in India, Singapore and Dubai. He has also led the Internal Audit Function of a Fortune 500 subsidiary in India. Porus is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). Porus has served on the ICAI Committee for Members in Industry and the ICAI Internal Audit Standards Board and has served six terms on the Board of Governors for IIA, Mumbai. He leads the CFO Program for Deloitte India and the Asia Pacific Region and was the Asia Pacific Regional Leader for Internal Audit at Deloitte for 9 years.

His role at Deloitte SEA includes holding the Chairmanship, Talent Leader, the Clients and Market Leader and was responsible for the Clients and Industry program, to develop our strategic clients and industry focus. He is currently a Deloitte SEA Executive Committee member and Market Representative for the emerging growth markets of Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar.

Terry Smagh has been Senior Vice President of Asia Pacific and Japan at BlackLine, Inc. since March 2018. He is responsible for spearheading the company’s ongoing regional growth strategy including working with partners to accelerate customer acquisition.

Mr. Smagh comes to BlackLine with nearly 20 years of experience in financial software, business intelligence and data analytics having held senior APAC positions with leading organizations including Hyperion, IBM, Informatica and Qlik.

Most recently, Mr Smagh was executive leader for IBM Asia-Pacific’s cloud and analytics business where he was responsible for supporting partner development and overall enterprise sales momentum in hybrid cloud software, cloud services and analytics solutions. Prior to that, he was managing director and vice president for Asia at Qlik where he successfully developed customized enterprise sales, channel and marketing operations models across the region and accelerated new office openings in key APAC business centers.

Terry Smagh

Tse Gan is an Executive Director with the Cyber Risk Services – Risk Advisory practice of Deloitte. He is the practice lead for Cyber Risk Services in Deloitte South East Asia and has established the Cyber Intelligence Centre (also known as Cyber Security Operations Centre “CyberSOC”) in Singapore and Malaysia.

He is responsible for managing operational risk, information security and risk management solution engagements and has more than 15 years of technology support, technology risk and security consulting, internal/ external audit and operational risk management experience.
Tse Gan’s depth of expertise also lies in the Financial Services Industry, having played a significant role in the design and implementation of various cyber and technological solutions as well as product training across regional, private and central banks in this region.

Tse Gan holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) degree and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Systems. He is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor (“CISA”), Certified Information Security Manager (“CISM”), Certified Public Accountant (Singapore), Certified Practising Accountant (Australia) and licensed with a Certification in Control Self Assessment (“CCSA”).

Vivek Chhabra is a Chartered Accountant with more than 30 years of experience in FMCG companies.

From 1985, Vivek spent 10 years with RJR Nabisco's food business in India and in Singapore.

From 1995, for almost 20 years Vivek was with Heineken's Asia Pacific Joint venture, initially as Country Finance Manager in Papua New Guinea and in Vietnam and then as Finance Director for Asia Pacific.

From 2004 to 2014, Vivek was Director Regional Business Development when he spearheaded the group's entry into several emerging and frontier markets across Asia Pacific via greenfield production, M&A, joint venture, etc. In all, Vivek completed more than 20 transactions valued at USD 1.25 billion. From 2007, Vivek was also the Regional Director for South Asia overseeing the 3 businesses in South Asia.

Vivek joined Thai Beverages/Fraser & Neave in 2015 and has worked as CEO of the soft drinks business in Thailand before returning to Singapore to head the M&A function for the group.

Vivek has received awards from governmental bodies in Vietnam and India and has also been a member of World Bank/IFC Private Sector Reform program in Vietnam, the Industry and Finance sub-committee of the GPC in Singapore and was the Vice Chairman of the South Asia Business Group in the Singapore Business Federation.

Prior to Deloitte, he was Chief Representative of China, Director of Corporate Network and EIU forecasting director at the Economist Group from 2004 to 2014.Sitao worked at several leading institutions from 1995 to 2004. He worked for MMS International of Standard and Poor’s Group in Singapore as the Economist for Indonesia, Korea and Thailand from 1995 to 1996. He was regional treasury economist at Standard Chartered Bank in Hong Kong from 1996 to 2000. From 2000 to 2002, he was Societe Generale’s Chief Economist for Asia. In 2003, he became the Head of Economics of ICBC (Asia), the overseas flagship of China’s largest bank.
