Extraordinary measures for extraordinary times

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Mr. Heng Swee Keat, announced a third round of support measures named the Solidarity Budget on 6 April 2020. He highlighted the need for additional measures to bolster the financial impact brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

This Solidarity Budget has been timed to coincide with the start of the latest “circuit breaker” measures. These latest measures commence 7 April and end 4 May. During this period, public venues and workplaces, other than those relating to essential services, will be closed.
