Daniel Ho
Tax & Legal Leader, Deloitte Singapore
Daniel is a tax partner with more than 23 years of experience serving multinational companies in industries such as real estate, fund management, technology, consumer products and shipping/energy and resources. He is the Tax & Legal Leader for Deloitte Singapore, and leads the Business Tax, Legal services, and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) tax practice for Deloitte Singapore. He also leads the M&A tax practice for Deloitte Southeast Asia.
Daniel has extensive experience in Singapore and international tax consultancy and planning in the area of M&A, corporate restructuring, cross-border payments, supply-chain planning and permanent establishment issues. He has been involved in numerous tax structuring and due diligence assignments for corporates and private equity funds. He has assisted clients in different industries such as manufacturing, shipping, trading and fund management in the application for relevant Singapore tax incentives. Daniel is a former part-time lecturer for the subject “Principles of Taxation” at the Nanyang Technological University.
Daniel has been named in the International Tax Review’s Tax Controversy Leaders Guide annually from 2016 to 2022. He is also recognised as a Leading Tax Advisor by the Expert Guide in 2018, 2020 and 2022.
Daniel graduated from Nanyang Technological University with a Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons) and has completed the Chartered Financial Analyst program. He is a non-practising member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Singapore and Accredited Tax Advisor (Income Tax)—Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals. He is also a member of the Singapore Accountancy Commission’s Learning and Assessment Committee, the Singapore Shipping Association’s Tax Sub-Committee and the Tax Academy’s Curriculum and Examination Development Committee.
