Qualifications

• Undergraduate students currently studying in the 3rd and 4th year in Thai universities.
• Background in Tax, Finance and/or related field.
• Participants to compete in a team of 4. Efficient teamwork/communication and knowledge sharing within the team will be key to coming up with a strong ‘team’ Tax case.
• Participants are required to participate in the competition on 5 February 2016 in Bangkok and 25 – 26 February 2016 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (Travel documents/passports are required)
• Tax cases will be presented in English.

Important date

Application period: 11 – 25 January 2016
4 Finalist teams announcement: 29 January 2016
Tax Challenge in Bangkok: 5 February 2016
SEA Tax Challenge in KL: 25 – 26 February 2016 (arrival into KL on 24 February)

Prizes and Awards:

Winner:

The winning team will receive a certificate of achievement and a THB 20,000 award/scholarship, plus an internship opportunity with Deloitte Thailand. In addition the team will represent Thailand (team category) in the SEA Tax Challenge at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 25-26 February 2016.

Rising star:

Individual that performs the best will receive the Rising Star award and will have the opportunity to represent Thailand in the individual competition in the SEA Tax Challenge at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 25-26 February 2016. In addition the individual will receive a THB 10,000.

Other finalists:

The runner-up teams will receive a THB 10,000 award/scholarship and each participant will receive a certificate of achievement.
