David Tullett: A life in S&O

Since I joined as a consultant in S&O in April 2018, I’ve been able to get stuck into a range of exciting projects with different leading clients.

On a project, I’m responsible for owning and driving pieces of work as well as programme management activities. Alongside client work, I also get to support internal practice development in an area of interest, namely pharma R&D where I’m looking to specialise in the future.

Deloitte is really flexible when it comes to any working requirements. I’m able to work from home and take particular days off when I need to. This is important for keeping a healthy work/life balance, which is important to me. Having a fulfilling life outside of work helps me become more motivated in my job. I love keeping fit and staying active; running, hiking, playing squash and travelling.

My first project on joining was for a major pharmaceutical firm – I was staffed within two weeks and had the opportunity to be based in Switzerland, working closely with the client to develop cost reduction opportunities.
