Lucy Hedges - Some advice worth hearing

How did you join Deloitte

I was approached by Deloitte's Recruitment Team who'd seen my profile and thought my skills were a good fit for the role.

What are you responsible for in your role in Deloitte Legal?

I am a Consultant in the Share Plans Team. This means I’m responsible for advising clients on a wide range of incentive issues, including using my skills as a solicitor to draft legal documents. I also share responsibility for local training of our reward analysts in South West & Wales.

How are you supported to work flexibly?

Although I don’t work part time, I’m able to work from home as and when I need to – this is a real benefit as it allows me to look after my parents’ dog!

What was your most memorable moment on the job so far?

Speaking at the South West & Wales Tax Away Day in front of the whole of Tax to explain my approach to client targeting, the progress I’d made with a particular client, and what I’d learned from being involved with the project.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I enjoy reading, yoga and travelling, having recently returned from a safari in the Maasai Mara including a trip to the Seychelles.
