Matt Stallard – Business man, family guy

When he’s not busy transforming businesses, managing stakeholders and mentoring colleagues, Director in Enterprise Applications, Matt Stallard is enjoying time with his family.

How did you join Deloitte?

I attended a Deloitte open evening where I met a number of Partners and then joined as a Senior Consultant from a well-known retailer.

What are you responsible for in your role?

Primarily I am responsible for leading large-scale client transformation programmes, which involves leading combined Deloitte and client teams typically on a global basis, as well as stakeholder management. I also run an operating unit which involves talent development and delivering financial performance, and finally I am a coach to a number of our practitioners.

How are you supported to work flexibly?

The great thing about Deloitte, and our clients we work with, is that we are able to work in a flexible manner which is very important to me with a young family. Being able to work from home, do the school run or attending performances knowing that I have a supportive working environment is very important to me

What was your most memorable moment on the job so far?

Being given an extra two weeks leave and the opportunity to work at the 2012 Olympics in recognition of my contribution to our Corporate Social Responsibility Agenda.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Spend as much time as possible with my family. Children grow up so fast and we like to take trips to see shows, sporting events or visit other countries together and share those experiences.
