Vinay - Start as you mean to go on

Strategy and Operations Analyst Vinay joined us straight from university. Professional life was a definite change of pace. But he hit the ground running in our induction programme – and he’s not slowed down since.

When did you join Deloitte and what is your role within the company?

I’m part of the Public Sector operations team within the Strategy and Operations Consulting practice.

What made you pursue a career in Strategy and Operations?

Consulting helps businesses and organisations improve, and the opportunity to help the public sector improve is exciting. Consulting, in general, is dynamic and challenging, which makes every day different. This attracted me too.

What do you like best about working for Deloitte?

The supportive and welcoming atmosphere when you join Deloitte makes it very easy to settle. Knowing there are so many people ready to help you makes the work a lot easier. No matter how junior you are, everybody’s willing to give their time and speak to you.

What were your most memorable achievements in 2018?

My proudest moment of 2018 was graduating from university. It was sad to leave the student life, but exciting to start at Deloitte. Another memorable moment of 2018 was completing Deloitte’s Junior Talent Induction Programme. The ten days spent in the Cotswolds were intense but fun-filled. They prepared me well for life as an Analyst.

Looking back at 2018, how did your creativity help you overcome challenges experienced at work?

Our induction programme was the first time most of us had come across such difficult work and time-pressures. But our creativity within the team allowed us to present our work in an engaging and exciting manner.
