Professional Careers qualifications

Read more about the qualifications we offer towards our professional hires.

Audit & Assurance at Deloitte has a very wide remit. It not only deals with reporting on the financial state of affairs of a client’s business, it also deals with the risk elements of the business, uncovering exposure to external and internal threats, compliance with statutory regulations, and putting in place the controls a business now needs to maintain its edge in an increasingly competitive marketplace. Few other areas of professional services give you as wide a business knowledge.

Our Audit & Assurance practice delivers to clients audit assurance and advisory services. We cover a wide range of industries and markets, from financial services in multinational corporations to smaller, owner-managed businesses. As the commercial world grows ever more fiercely regulated, the role of corporate auditor is now spot-lit as never before. Our computerised audit approach and investment in technology enables our Audit & Assurance team to deliver seamless global accounting and auditing services. As part of the team, you’ll deal with clients who vary enormously in their operations, controls, structure and commercial attitudes, so you’ll be able to gain wide business knowledge. This is where you can build advisory expertise through close involvement with managers, partners and senior client staff.

Within Audit & Assurance we have four main areas that we recruit into. These are:

  • FTSE
  • Financial Services
  • International
  • Private Markets

As part of Deloitte’s Risk Advisory team you will receive full support for your individual development. We have a portfolio of advisory and commercial skills courses to develop your business skills delivered through a series of learning and milestone events. You will have the chance to study for a range of professional qualifications developing your technical capabilities and management and leadership skills.

Each competency has its own curriculum designed and facilitated by specialists from the practice, equipping you with the technical skills for your role and facilitating your development and progression with us.

The Consulting Learning and Development team aim to deliver a core curriculum, development by grade and also specific competency learning to all consulting practitioners. The ultimate aim is to develop all new joiners and existing employees with the tools and skill set to enable them to successfully undertake their role but also to develop to the next stage in their career pathway. Consulting firmwide learning includes grade milestone events, Induction and Integration and project management. Development by grade incorporates core courses but also looks to build on existing skills to enable promotion to the next grade to occur. Competency learning combines key technical learning to enable a practitioner to perform their role and add technical knowledge to both their peers and clients.

Financial Advisory Learning is a team of learning specialists, who partner with the Financial Advisory business to design and deliver high-quality solutions to nurture and grow our talent. As trusted advisors, we aim to fully understand the business’s dynamic learning needs, and to meet them through comprehensive training curricula, coaching and mentoring. The technical curriculum is specifically designed for each part of CF and complements each grade and stage of development. The non-technical curriculum recognises promotion, supports transition and advancement, and provides opportunities for enhancing personal effectiveness, leadership and business development skills. We promote and enable all practitioners to truly own their own development, by offering innovative learning solutions that go beyond the classroom, providing guidance and support, and encouraging full use of the firm’s developmental resources.
