Each two-day event is a powerful blend of business games, skills sessions, debates and discovery.

Why come along?

In your first year at university or second year of a four-year degree and not sure what career you want to follow?

Spring Into Deloitte gives you an insight into our careers. The people you’ll work with. The incredible opportunities on offer. The sort of work you’ll do. You’ll watch, learn, take part, and network.

Will it help my application for the Summer Vacation Scheme or Graduate Programmes?

Showing such an early interest in working with us will stand you in great stead if you apply for our Summer Vacation Scheme or one of our Graduate Programmes later.

Which Spring Into Deloitte programme should I choose?

Everyone’s different. That’s why we have several options for you to choose from:

  • Spring Into Deloitte – Young Black Professionals
As part of our Black Action Plan, we’re committing to 12% of our partners being from an ethnic minority group and 3% of our partners being black by 2025. Supporting and developing the skills and futures of young black professionals is really important to us.
This programme will focus on all areas of the business, and showcase our diversity and inclusion networks. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet and network with our black colleagues who are making an impact.
  • Spring Into Deloitte – Women In Technology
We’re all supporting more young women to take control, secure successful futures and solve the problems of tomorrow through the science and creativity of technology. This programme will focus on our amazing technology teams, share more about our female networks and hear from women that are making an impact in the industry.
  • Spring Into Deloitte – Women In Business
We’re inspiring more young women to influence the future of business – and shape a brighter future for themselves, too. We’ll focus on the different roles throughout professional services, hear from women across Deloitte who have taken different career journeys, and show how you could take the next steps to a solid future here.
  • Spring Into Deloitte – Tax
Do you want to solve complex intellectual challenges? Helping clients make the right decisions, on a worldwide scale, by working collaboratively and creatively is what we do in Tax Consulting. This programme will focus on the specific roles within Tax Consulting, share more about our culture and hear from those that are making an impact in the tax industry.
  • Spring Into Deloitte – Virtual Experience
This programme is hosted online and allows you to learn more about the different careers available to you at Deloitte, hear more about us as a firm and develop your skills. Over three days, we’ll focus on all areas of the business and you’ll have opportunities to meet and network with colleagues from offices across the UK.

Who’s it for?

Any student in their first year at university (or second year on a four-year course) who’s on track for a 2:1. You can check the full academic requirements here. If you’re fascinated by business and curious about what a career with us could offer, Spring Into Deloitte is for you.

We offer a range of summer placements that reflect the kinds of jobs you could do here. If you’re not sure which is right for you, we have a questionnaire designed to show you what might suit you best.

Is it for me?

It’s for university students who are doing well academically and want to test their skills in the real world. If you’re in the penultimate year of your course or are going on to a master’s, this 3-6 week placement puts you at the heart of our community, surrounded by experts who can help you flourish. You’ll do real work from day one, using what you’ve learnt at university to help solve complex problems for our clients.

What’s in it for me?

You’ll get a competitive salary and exposure to real clients and exciting projects through a structured programme of learning. Are there any entry requirements?

We do have some minimum requirements for you to meet. And of course, you’ll need more than good grades to make the most of your placement. If you’re fascinated by business and can’t wait to get stuck into complex projects that make a difference, you’ll fit right in.

Where can I work?

Several locations offer this programme. You can find out more about each one here. We also offer flexible at home working too.

What’s next?

If things go well, you might even be offered a position on a relevant Graduate Programme. Not everyone gets an offer straight away, so don’t worry if you don’t. You can always apply in the future and whatever happens, your Summer Vacation Scheme will be a great foundation for your future career.

You can choose a Summer Vacation Scheme in these areas:

"If you want variety in your work, location, people, clients… then Deloitte is for you."

There are so many options for life beyond university. But which one’s right for you? What excites you most? Our taster events are here to help to find your professional passion and see where a career at Deloitte could take you.

Where is Spring Into Deloitte happening?

This year, we’re excited to bring Spring Into Deloitte back into our offices. Locations will vary, depending on the programme. However, we recognise the value that virtual delivery has had for many of our attendees over the last couple of years and are pleased to keep a virtual offering for those that would benefit from it:

  • Young Black Professionals: London
  • Women in Technology: London
  • Women in Business: Birmingham
  • Tax: Reading
  • Spring Into Deloitte – Virtual Experience: Online

For all Spring Into Deloitte in-person events, we will cover travel expenses and an overnight stay is also included.

You can find out more about each location here.

When do the programmes take place?

  • Tax: Monday 3rd - Tuesday 4th April 2023

Hands-on experience is invaluable. That’s why our summer placements are such a great way to explore potential career options and discover what suits you best.

It’s a great way to make decisions about your career and potentially gain a place on our graduate programme. There will be plenty of chances to develop your experience, build a great social life, get involved in community projects and become a Deloitte Brand Ambassador.
