Bruce joined Deloitte in 2011 as a Senior Manager having finished his service in the Royal Navy in the rank of Lieutenant Commander.
What were your reasons for leaving the military and why did you join Deloitte?
Different challenge and more money, joined Deloitte because of excellent professional reputation, bright and capable people and range and challenge of work.
What transferable skills and experience have you brought from the military?
Programme leadership, drive, focus, ability to mix with every type of people, ability to learn quickly and move location quickly.
What work do you get involved in on a day to day basis?
Consulting, private sector programme leadership.
What was the biggest culture shock when you first started in professional services/Deloitte?
Ability to challenge versus the military can-do attitude.
What do you like most about your role?
Variety, intellectual challenge, pay.

How do you deliver impact, leadership and innovation in your role?
Working on projects globally (Dublin, Netherlands, Germany and London so far); I lead high performing teams to achieve client deliverables and innovate new business offerings to sell projects.
