As a result, our clients are embarking on increasingly complex transformation journeys.
Wherever you work within Organisation Transformation, you will be part of a team that truly believes that people and behaviours are at the heart of any successful transformation. We create lasting partnerships with our clients, enabling us to understand their most complex challenges. Modern workforces are no longer a static hierarchy of employees; they are everyone who helps create, transform and operate an enterprise. From employees to self-employed gig-workers to third-party partners, workforces are more diverse, flatter, and ever changing. You will help clients understand where they are today and where opportunities will exist in the future. Your analytical rigour and insight will help them transform how they attract, lead, manage, develop and reward their people, and to win the ‘war for talent’. You’ll help create working environments that nurture potential and foster long term well-being, resilience and engagement. And you’ll apply advanced analytics and the latest technologies, to enable the ‘connected-worker’ to collaborate and succeed in a world of AI and robotic automation.

Meet our Consulting people
“It’s such an inspiring place to work; everyone you talk to is working on something interesting.”
What are the best things about your job?
It’s such an inspiring place to work; everyone you talk to is working on something interesting. There are always so many exciting things to get involved with that it’s a challenge to prioritise where to spend your time. Everyone always says “it’s the people”, and that’s true. Working for a brand you feel proud of feels pretty good too. And you don’t have any stress about fitting into a particular stereotype, because there are so many different types of people in Deloitte Digital.
Tell us about your most exciting project
There have been various highlights over the years, a number come to mind; implementing a visualisation tool that helps an auction house see who’s bought each piece of art, designing how a new loyalty scheme would work in a large retailer, getting a large department store ready for a switch over to a new contact centre solution, and implementing technology that provides a luxury retailer with a single view of all their customers and the enabling tools that allow them to use this for more personalised marketing and better customer service.
Why choose Deloitte Digital over a competitor?
I’ve never experienced another culture that’s so unafraid to break traditional boundaries, and is so forward looking in its strategy and approach. It’s exciting to be working somewhere that’s bringing together a unique set of capabilities that we can see clients are looking for and value.
Deloitte has a vision of a future that’s full of people motivated to work on what energises and inspires them, who don’t see a hard boundary between life and work, are flexible about their direction, place value on a company’s principles, and who never lose the importance of human relationships in all this digital change.
How’s the work-life balance?
I work Monday to Thursday and spend Fridays in my other major role in life, as a mum to two small and very active little boys. The juxtaposition of working life and pirate role play on a daily basis keeps things interesting.
"I feel like I can be the best version of myself when I am at work."
Why would you recommend a career at Deloitte?
The great culture, flexibility and range of experiences that Deloitte offers is what sets this firm apart. In Human Capital, Deloitte is far ahead of any of our immediate competitors.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy working with intelligent, energetic people who come from diverse backgrounds and experiences. I feel like I can be the best version of myself when I am at work and this helps drive innovation, creative thinking and best solutions to help our clients solve their problems.
What do you do?
My current client is a renowned Consumer Products organisation, based in Uxbridge. I lead Change and Communications for their move to SAP S/4 HANA as part of their overall Finance Transformation programme.
I see my role as helping and preparing the business towards new ways of working and guiding them along the change journey. I am passionate about people and constantly thinking about how I can make change easier for any impacted team. Ultimately, this will help deliver the benefits of working with new processes and technology.
What’s your most memorable moment?
When one of the client team said he would leave the company if I ever rolled off the project. Overall, we’ve created a good team culture; we’ve set up a running club and organise weekly team socials, which has made this project more memorable and fun.
Now we’ve covered work, how about life?
Outside of the job, I enjoy practising hot yoga, travelling to interesting places, trying new food, and mentoring university students.
"I get to work on projects that help clients in a sector I feel truly passionate about.”
What’s your proudest career achievement?
Last year, I was a winner in the Consulting category of the ‘We Are The City’ Rising Star Awards. I was nominated for the work I did developing a technology strategy, working alongside victims of serious crime. Being announced a winner was the highlight of my career to date. I’ve never been big on ‘selling myself’, or bragging about my own achievements, so I hope I represent that it’s ok to be quiet and focused on delivering the best you can for your clients. Along the way, someone will notice and truly appreciate your efforts.
What do you do? And what’s the best thing about it?
I sit within our Security and Justice (S&J) account, as the Commercial Team Lead for a project delivering improvements on a national scale into UK police forces. And, in my spare time, I volunteer as a Special Constable. Which is rewarding and challenging and directly supports the work I do at Deloitte.
Working in S&J means I get to work on projects that help clients in a sector I feel truly passionate about. That’s undoubtedly the best part of my job. I am also surrounded by colleagues who, like me, have an unfaltering desire to genuinely improve the technology and digital capabilities provided to police officers. Making sure they have the best tools to do their job. It’s an exciting and inspiring team to be part of.
Why choose Deloitte?
For me, the biggest draw is the people you work with and the culture of the firm. Every person you come across, from Analyst through to Partner, is approachable and genuinely passionate about the work they do.
Deloitte also has a great culture for understanding and utilising home working effectively. Knowing I can work from home on a Friday, without the lengthy commute, whilst still being readily available and involved with the team via skype is fantastic.
"I love the diversity in the projects that I’m involved in and the opportunity to work with lots of different people from various service lines."
So, why join Deloitte?
What attracted me to Deloitte were the endless opportunities and the collective experience of other like-minded individuals. Deloitte’s clients include many of the world’s largest organisations; I wanted to be part of a team that made a difference that I could be proud of. I love the diversity in the projects that I’m involved in and the opportunity to work with lots of different people from various service lines.
Did you have any pre-conceptions before you joined? How’s that been in reality?
Having never worked in a Big 4 professional services firm, I was nervous about my first day. The stereotype of overconfident consultants in suits and unapproachable Partners is what came to mind. I couldn’t have been more wrong. In reality, everyone is really friendly and approachable at Deloitte, in many cases going out of their way to help you settle in, especially if you’re a new starter. Speaking to lots of different people to build your professional network is very much encouraged here.
How do you feel you’re supported from a wellbeing perspective?
Deloitte has a number of ways to support our mental health and wellbeing. In this current climate it’s really important that there are multiple channels for staff to reach out and ask for help – Deloitte’s facilities and options are excellent. Within the Consulting practice itself, there is a resource called Flourish. It’s a platform that contains useful links and articles about how to understand your wellbeing needs and where to find the support you need. They have hosted a number of interactive wellbeing events that explore lots of different topics, ranging from Mental Health awareness to how to energize and motivate yourself during uncertain times. It has helped me understand that I’m not alone in the way that I am feeling sometimes and that many other people go through similar experiences.
Tell us a bit about what you’ve been up to recently.
As well as my specific project work, I’m part of a team that is working towards expanding our services to clients in the North. I feel really fortunate to be involved in developing our Consulting practice here. It’s been a great opportunity to really understand how Deloitte operates and how it aims to deliver the most value to our clients. I have worked closely with people from outside my immediate team as well as other parts of the Deloitte business. I’m really looking forward to continuing to work on client projects in the North West and building our client base. The region has had, and continues to have, a lot of investment towards skills, technology, transport, education and culture. Combined with the government’s ‘Levelling up agenda’, it makes the North a very exciting place to be.
"There are many interventions the firm has in place to help you shape your own development"
What first attracted you to Deloitte?
It was simple really, during the start of my HR career at BAE Systems, I worked closely with Deloitte practitioners and loved their energy, challenge, and ability to rapidly churn engaging PowerPoint materials!
Do you feel this is an inclusive environment?
When I joined, I was so pleased to learn about the exhaustive list of diversity networks, such as the Deloitte Muslim Network, and to meet peers who come from all backgrounds. When engaging with other consulting firms, none feel as diverse as Deloitte. And, with our current work in the Black Action Plan space, I am even more humbled by the impact we make.
Deloitte also invests a huge amount of time and resource around mental health, which is amazing. We recently had a Consulting ‘keeping it real’ call, where we had candid conversations with our leadership, touching on topics that are usually not discussed, but should be. Hearing about how colleagues have managed their own mental health has been enlightening and has set the foundations of a new culture.
We recently piloted an app which promotes wellbeing, providing the chance to stop, reflect, breath and act. I have really enjoyed these moments and feel they have positively filled my mental well-being urn!
How have you developed here?
Progression comes in different guises at Deloitte and there are many interventions the firm has in place to help you shape your own development. Since starting here, I have developed my self-confidence. I am more creative and think outside the box when I need to respond to client problems. I’m more emotionally mature, not taking things personally. My business chemistry training has helped me to better understand myself and others.
Tell us about a recent project.
I was seconded into Market Gravity, our innovation and proposition design team. My role was focused on Leeds; reimagining the physical retail space by engaging with startups and scale-ups to resolve client challenges in a distinct and innovative way. I’ve since been able to take the learnings back into my role in Change OT.
Another project which I’ve recently worked on has been a part of the central business change team where I am helping our client to digitize and make their systems smart. My focus has been on establishing relationships and driving teams to new ways of working across the Pprogramme and within devolved teams. This is a challenge as it requires re-addressing the behavioural behavioural norms engrained on a Programme which impacts and involves hundreds of people. This is one example of the many complex and large transformations we do at Deloitte. I feel empowered and enjoy what I do, because of Deloitte and client teams I work with. The Deloitte leadership team and my peers are focused on wellbeing and always have a ‘pick up the phone’ policy if we ever need to have a chat.
