The team provides investigation, advisory and insolvency services and works closely with colleagues both across borders and cross-practice to deal with complex multi-jurisdictional situations. We also work with banks around the world, advising them on turnaround and restructuring problems facing their large multinational and domestic borrowers. As you can imagine, the team’s remit is very wide and includes advisory and investigation, restructuring, corporate exit management, insurance, working capital management and insolvency services.

Our Corporate Advisory team works alongside management teams of stressed and distressed businesses supporting them in preparing and delivering focused operational and financial turnaround plans, advising on debt restructurings, supporting management in lender negotiations and optimising working capital. Stakeholder management is at the core of much of what we do as it is important to understand the positions of key stakeholders such as employees, shareholders, lenders, customers and suppliers in order to plan and implement an effective turnaround.
Our licensed insolvency practitioners work with clients on administration order, administrative receivership, voluntary arrangement, liquidation, and bankruptcy. We also provide security reviews and contingency planning to assist stakeholders in understanding the possible financial and non-financial impacts of insolvency options.
We provide advice to corporates who wish to dispose of entities utilising tax efficient methods for distributing assets to shareholders where the underlying business is either ceasing or being restructured.
We advise institutions in the divestment process as well as investors in the acquisition of problematic and underperforming asset portfolios. We can advise both sellers and buyers.
Our Business Review team works with financial stakeholders to review the liquidity and related cash flow forecasts of borrowers to understand and analyse drivers of cash flow – covering everything from trading performance and working capital, to restructuring costs and provision payments. This provides lenders with an independent view on whether their borrower has adequate liquidity to continue operating normally, thereby allowing time for the lenders to consider their options.
Our Creditor Advisory team supports financial stakeholders throughout the restructuring process by first reviewing the liquidity and related cash flow forecasts of borrowers to understand and analyse drivers of cash flow, and then by advising and supporting the financial stakeholders through the restructuring process. This involves providing lenders with an independent view on whether a borrower has adequate liquidity to continue operating normally, analysing the options available to the financial stakeholders and then supporting them in their negotiations with the borrower and other stakeholders.
