What do you like most about your role?
Getting to see the areas others are denied at my clients’ properties, e.g. I’ve been back of house in several high street retailers, high security areas at pyrotechnic manufacturers, the vaults of diamond merchants, changing rooms of Premiership football clubs, the vast warehouses of global distribution companies.
What aspects of your degree do you feel support you in your role and sucess at Deloitte?
The underpinnings of my degree have helped me understand the clients’ businesses and how they operate.
What qualifications are you working towards and what support are you getting?
None at present, but through working at Deloitte I have qualified as a Chartered Surveyor as well as completing the ATT qualification.
What work do you get involved in on a day to day basis at Deloitte?
Meeting clients and targets to introduce the benefits of our work and managing Deloitte teams to deliver those clients on current engagements.
How do you deliver or contribute impact, leadership and innovation in your role?
I am responsible for various aspects of our business and have a high level of discretion in developing this into new areas. As a senior member of the team, it is also important to set a positive day-to-day example of how you want your team to perform.
What social, society and CSR activities have you been involved with at Deloitte?
Community Days, Ride Across Britain, local charity events
How has Deloitte played a role in your long term career goals?
Deloitte has provided me with the opportunities to learn a lot of transferable skills required to be successful in any large organisation.
