Life at Deloitte
Working with Business and IT leaders, I establish Technology’s direction of travel for my clients
What did you study?
I studied Instrumentation Engineering in Anna University, India
What do you do at Deloitte Technology Consulting?
Last year I worked with a government department supporting implementation of key systems that impact citizens across the UK. I also led the development of 3-5 year technology strategy for a leading private bank in the UK.
This year, I started off working on an M&A transaction within the TMT sector. I developed the target state technology landscape consolidating over 400 systems between the two organisation to 150+ systems.
I am currently working on developing the target state implementation plan for a major infrastructure modernisation programme. My day to day role is to lead and shape the deliverables created by my team, manage key client relationships and stakeholder interactions on the ground in addition to managing the finances and key risks on the project.
I lead the Technology Strategy proposition and train our practitioners on the subject.
Why did you choose a career in Technology?
Right from when I wrote my first line of code at 9 years of age, I have been fascinated by what you could get technology to do for you. I have always wanted to build a career in Technology and landed a job after my graduation that provided me with the opportunity to do just that.
I started off my career developing telecommunications order management systems. I decided to extend my systems engineering capability to system design and then business consulting. The rest is history. Since I started my career in technology, I have seen role of technology in business evolve from being a back-office function to being an integral part of the business and the business itself in some cases.
