All academic & other requirements
Check you’re eligible to apply
We know grades aren’t the be-all and end-all; we’re just as interested in your creative thinking and how you apply yourself to a challenge. But you should have certain academic qualifications in place, as well as any necessary visa, before you apply for one of our schemes. Find out what you’ll need here.
You’ll need 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above, including English and Maths
Apprenticeship Scheme - Brightstart
All Service Lines (except Audit & Risk Advisory): GCSE Maths, Grade B or above and GCSE English, C or above.
Audit & Risk Advisory: GCSE, Grade B or above in Maths and English
A Levels (or equivalent)
You’ll need 260 UCAS points; that’s the equivalent of two Cs and one B at A level, for example. This is based on your top three grades, if they were sat in the same year, and in the 1st sitting over 2 years (excludes General Studies).
Scottish qualifications: 5 Highers from your 5th year of school. If you only sat 4 Highers, due to extenuating circumstances or school requirements, we may still consider you (based on grades from your 5th year, plus your best 6th year grade).
If you narrowly miss these requirements, don’t be put off applying. We’ve designed our application process to ensure we assess everyone’s merits, accurately and fairly, in the context of their educational and personal circumstances. We sometimes adjust requirements to reflect this context.
