Surveying investment in the charity sector

A strategic view

April 2018

Deloitte have just released their survey of investment in the charity sector. This survey focuses of the investments reported by a sample of 50 charities from the top 1000 charities.

This survey reviews investing decisions, returns and costs and identifies trends in reporting and investing that can help charities benchmark their own investment performance and strategies. These surveys do not contain a 'right answer' as every charity is different and must do what best suits its own circumstances. However, surveys provide information for both trustees and management giving them the opportunity to challenge their approach.

With Brexit looming and less than a year away, Nandu Patel and Andrew Blair from Rothschild Private Wealth have provided a view on the impact of Brexit and the future of investments in appendix 1.
