Andy Bourne

Director, Deloitte Digital

Pioneering integrated technology solutions for engaging digital experiences

Andy is a Director and is Head of the Digital Platforms group within Deloitte Digital. He specialises in digital experience and digital marketing technologies and also leads the Adobe alliance for Deloitte in the UK. Predominantly focused on his clients in the private sector; he gives advice to inform their digital technology choices and leads teams to design and build integrated technology solutions to improve omnichannel customer experiences.

Having worked in technology consulting for 15 years, Andy has extensive experience of shaping and delivering initiatives in the field of experience management, e-commerce, customer relationship management and marketing automation. He is renowned for his success in leading complex digital transformation programmes and for his expert knowledge of the software vendors and technology products in his domain.

As an Engagement Director, Andy provides leadership oversight and delivery assurance to our key client engagements. He has a strategic viewpoint and the ability to engage and represent stakeholders at all levels within an organisation.

Within Deloitte, Andy is responsible for the development of our digital platforms capability in the UK and is passionate about attracting and retaining top talent. He takes an active role in recruitment, coaching and mentoring, formal performance management and professional development.

Recent projects

Andy has delivered digital initiatives and solutions for major telecoms and media clients including Virgin Media, BT, Verizon, Lions Festivals and the BBC.

“I spend time to understand the challenges my clients face and anticipate change based on deep industry insight and knowledge of digital technologies. I apply digital trends, learnings and recommendations to allow them to keep pace with continuous advances in technology and the changing expectations of prospects and customers.

Most recently, I led the delivery of a multi channel prospect management solution for Virgin Media, joining up sales agent activity and prospect journeys across their sales channels – web, inbound telesales, retail, outbound telesales, venue and direct. I helped to drive the project from concept to launch in 15 months, using an agile development approach and a globally distributed team. Key outcomes were increased customer acquisition revenues and an improved prospect and agent experience – these represent a differentiator for Virgin Media in the quad-play sector. This project was also the first multi-channel B2C Salesforce.com implementation globally.”

Prior to this, Andy led the redesign and re-platform of Deloitte’s global digital presence. Reporting to Deloitte’s Global Executive, Andy led a team from Deloitte Digital and UK Consulting to design and develop a single digital experience platform for all Deloitte member firms, which was successfully deployed in 148 countries and 28 languages.
