What is our Women in Cloud community?

Our aim is to get women excited about careers in Cloud by providing a community that supports their individual growth and ambition.

We are a thriving community of people who are committed to supporting one another develop knowledge and build careers in Cloud, whether it be as an architect, engineer, strategist or project manager. This network welcomes all genders, ethnicities, backgrounds and experiences. We provide a forum for our members to build their Cloud technology experience, business skills and knowledge, share insights across a range of topics and provide access to the latest developments in the Cloud space with like-minded people.

What do we do?

Our Women in Cloud community recently celebrated its first birthday! We are so proud of how far we have come in developing a strong community and regularly bring this team together to inspire others. Some of our key activities include:

Our team

Katie Bennett

Katie joined the firm in 2019 and is a second year analyst at Deloitte, sitting within the Digital Workplace practice in Cloud Engineering. Katie’s roles have been focused on supporting delivery teams and working on change and commnications.

Katie is passionate about creating a community where everyone of all grades can feel included.

Outside of work Katie enjoys exercising, reading and seeing live music.
Jasmine Marshall

Jasmine is a Manager in Cloud Engineering’s Digital Workplace team with a background in delivering Digital Workplace projects and programmes from Windows 10 and collaboration tooling rollouts to strategic IT integration projects.

Having started my career as a sponsored degree student, I am passionate about mentoring and supporting our junior talent through their careers.

When I am not at work, I love trying to keep fit, and have a recent love of my Peloton bike!
Louise Mills

Louise is a Senior Manager in Cloud Engineering focused on programme delivery management of cloud transformation.

As a mum to two young boys, and having just returned from my 2nd mat leave, I find it really important to have a helpful and connected community who are supporting each other to build their careers in cloud. This is why I launched the Women in Cloud over a year ago and passionate about continuing to grow this community.
Michelle Roberts

Michelle is a Director in Cloud Infrastructure and Engineering with a background in Managed Services and Migration. Michelle has spent the last 8 years working with AWS, and leads our Strategic Alliance in the UK, with a focus on Business Development.

Within Deloitte, Michelle also leads our Amazon Connect Team, and also our AWS virtual community.
Lucy Thorpe

Lucy joined the firm in 2018 and is a third year Brightstart, sitting within the Digital Workplace practice in Cloud Engineering. Lucy has an interest in the Public Sector industry and focuses on supporting digital transformation programmes.

After launching the Women in Cloud community, Lucy is excited to see the community grow and continue to support one another.

Outside of work Lucy enjoys going to concerts, dancing and the gym.
