UK ECM update | Spring 2024

In our fifteenth issue of the UK ECM update we look forward to the macroeconomic factors which will drive ECM activity over the coming years.

We are delighted to open this update with an exclusive interview with Bim Afolami MP, the newly appointed Economic Secretary to the Treasury and City Minister. In this interview, he sets out his, and the Chancellor’s, priorities for London’s capital markets during the year ahead.

Other topics include:

  • some of the key factors which could make public markets more attractive for the fintech sector;
  • an overview of the key proposed reforms within the new UK Listing Rules;
  • analysis of after-market price performance, and considerations when choosing a listing market; and
  • we highlight the role of a professional and dedicated Transaction Management Office when undertaking complex transactions, including IPOs.

We hope you enjoy reading this fifteenth edition of the Deloitte ECM update.
