The Future FD Programme
Upcoming Workshops 2015-2016
Deloitte and Pure Resourcing for the last five years have run a programme aimed specifically at developing the skills and capabilities of the next generation of finance professionals and CFOs.
The purpose of the Future FD programme is to help senior finance people develop their skills to enable them to make the next step in their careers and to be true business leaders. Deloitte and Pure have selected three topics for this series, to be led by experts in their field.
FDs have to make complicated decisions on almost every front and contribute across many areas of the business. At Deloitte we refer to this as the FD having four roles (or four ‘faces’). We understand that to be truly effective, the next generation of FD’s have to learn to address the ‘four faces’. Understanding how to acquire the necessary skills to master all four face requires experience, insight and a steady hand.
Today’s CFO’s are expected to play four diverse and challenging roles. The two traditional roles are steward; preserving the assets of the organisation and operator; running a tight finance operation that is efficient and effective. It’s increasingly important for CFO’s to be strategists. Helping to shape overall strategy and direction and catalysts, instilling a financial approach and mind set throughout the organisation to help other parts of the business perform better.
We will be hosting three themed, participatory workshops. The session will be led by both a professional career coach and successful CFO. Consultation and idea sharing with other members from a variety of industries and organisation is actively encouraged to strengthen your local network and promote mutual encouragement and support.
