Culture in banking

Under the microscope

Half a decade after the onset of the financial crisis, governments, regulators and senior bankers now accept that many aspects of the industry’s culture were problematic and have acknowledged the need for change.

The Deloitte Bank Survey 2013 offers the ‘insiders’ view on this issue from 41 senior bankers at financial institutions around the world.

Culture in banking addresses questions such as:

  • What were the causes of these cultural problems that manifested themselves during and after the financial crisis?
  • To what extent do cultural problems still exist?
  • And what can banks do about them?

This report has been written for the benefit of senior banking executives.
