Global Immigration

Industry-leading strategic alliance

The need for global employers to have the right people in the right place at the right time has never been more relevant. We saw this coming. So Deloitte UK and Berry Appleman & Leiden LLP (BAL LLP) have formed an alliance to offer a best-in-class immigration service for global employers.

This industry-leading strategic alliance provides the combination of Deloitte Global’s scale in 135 countries and BAL LLP delivering in-country US services.

Delivering global scale with increased depth and breadth in key locations

To meet global employers’ growing volume and advice needs in major locations, alongside the alliance, Deloitte Global has increased its depth and breadth through the purchase of BAL operations in eight locations: Australia, Brazil, China, Mozambique, South Africa, Singapore, UAE and the UK.

This brings Deloitte Global’s number of non-US immigration specialists to over 1500 in 135 countries. BAL LLP has over 700 US specialists in 8 offices in the US.

On the ground in-country presence

The alliance, having BAL LLP’s immigration specialists on the ground in the US, and Deloitte Global immigration specialists on the ground in other countries, allows us to deliver fast, effective advice, without the need for multiple third party vendors.

As borders get more complicated, we make immigration simpler.

With the increasing complexity of talent mobility and cross border challenges, clients are struggling to gain the level of global knowledge, local expertise and insights needed to build the talent programmes of tomorrow.

This alliance combines the exceptional strengths of two leading organisations, Deloitte Global’s scale, insights and programme management and BAL’s deep US expertise, knowledge management and technology.

Mobile employees will benefit from a simplified and consistent experience across immigration, tax, reward and social security services.

Two independent organisations, one shared journey.

Far from a relationship of convenience, it is a natural fit. Despite being independent organisations, we share the same vision, a cultural fit, and passion for serving our clients.

“With the increased need for cross-border business travel, global organisations are recognising the value of a firm that can bring a global footprint to help support the challenges of delivery and corporate compliance.”

“Our ability to provide a fully global, end-to-end service will help employers move talent where it’s needed and enhance their compliance.”

Kalvinder Dhillon, Global Immigration Lead, Deloitte Global

“This alliance is a hugely exciting opportunity, offering the best possible service to businesses by delivering on-the-ground immigration support across the globe.”
