Deloitte UK announces promotion of 65 new partners

Deloitte, the business advisory firm, has announced the promotion of 65 new partners. The promotions took effect on 1 June. This is the largest number of partner promotions at Deloitte in the past ten years.

David Sproul, chief executive and senior partner at Deloitte, said: “The first six months of this year have seen a sharp improvement in business confidence. The message I am hearing from chief executives at clients large and small, is that British business is ready to invest in growth opportunities to take advantage of an improving economy. These promotions reflect our own firm’s investment in the potential of a growing economy and our commitment to support our clients.

“The ongoing success of the UK economy is increasingly dependent on higher value skills - an area in which Deloitte has great strengths and which we recognise is critical for our future success. Alongside our 65 partner promotions, Deloitte is proud of its significant role in the labour market, as one of the UK’s largest recruiters of graduates, and with over 3,000 people joining the firm in the last year. With more than 14,000 employees, 966 partners and an extensive alumni, our skills impact across British business.

This year, the firm will invest around £30million on our people’s learning and education covering a combination of professional qualifications, and training courses – that’s an average of over £2,000 per person - equipping them to make a material difference to our clients’ ability to succeed and grow.”
