Annie Gallimore to join Deloitte Digital as ACNE London managing director

19 February 2021

Deloitte has appointed Annie Gallimore as managing director of the firm’s creative consultancy, ACNE London. Annie joins the firm from ENGINE, where she held the position of managing director, overseeing 200 people within the agency’s creative pillar.

Annie brings more than 20 years’ experience to Deloitte Digital, having worked both client and agency side of the industry leading multi-award winning integrated campaigns for multiple organisations, including large international brands and public sector bodies. Prior to her role as managing director at ENGINE, Annie held leadership positions at Grey London as managing partner and Waterstones as head of marketing.

Annie sits on the IPA Council, which she was elected to in 2019. Having run the women’s network at ENGINE, Annie also acts as a mentor to women across the industry.

Annie Gallimore, incoming ACNE London managing director, said: “The combination of consultancy and creativity is fundamentally changing how businesses perform. While I’ve worked both client and agency side, leading ACNE London will allow me to learn and explore this change and that really excites me at this stage of my career.

“Obviously successful campaigns can no longer just rely on dynamic advertising ideas but also more and more on data, analytics and experience design. In my new role, I’m looking forward to drawing on the expertise of Deloitte’s wider consulting practice to be a solid bedrock for the creation of stunning ideas and creativity.”

Anne-Marie Malley, managing partner for consulting at Deloitte, added: “Businesses today are setting their foundations on technology and creativity. Whether focussed on re-building post-COVID, tackling the climate crisis head-on or thriving in the digital era, every industry is looking for new creative ways, and to new talented teams, to drive transformation.

“Since ACNE first joined Deloitte Digital in 2017, its influence has galvanised how we design and deliver our consulting projects. Welcoming Annie into ACNE will allow us to continue this further and ensure that creativity is at the core of Deloitte’s consulting practice.”

Ete Davies, CEO ENGINE Creative, said: “Over the last seven years Annie has been talismanic in the evolving journey of ENGINE UK. She’ll be greatly missed, but we wish her all the best. We’re sure she’ll be a fantastic addition to the ACNE leadership team."

In September 2020, Deloitte announced the expansion of ACNE across Europe. The creative consultancy now has offices in Stockholm, London, Berlin, Milan, Rome, Lisbon and Dublin. ACNE’s core offerings include brand, advertising and content – combining strategy, creative and production – to form a fast moving, versatile consultancy.

ACNE’s team in London is growing rapidly and currently seeking and making hires at all levels across its three brand, advertising and content offerings. Notably, the consultancy has recently hired Katie Farrell, previously of Wolff Olins, as director of brand, and Kate Murphy, previously of Lucky Generals, as creative director of advertising. Ben Clark, founder of ACNE London, continues to lead the consultancy’s content offering focused on connecting creativity, production and technology at scale.
