Deloitte’s chief economist Inflation figures comment
13 February 2019
Commenting on the latest Inflation figures, published this morning by the Office for National Statistics, Ian Stewart, chief economist at Deloitte, the business advisory firm, said:
“Falling inflation is rising to the rescue of the U.K. consumer. Together with rising earnings it is delivering a powerful uplift to spending power. Brexit dominates at the moment but were Brexit risks to ease, consumers would be well placed to hit the High Street.”
