Chris Holmes joins Deloitte to form real estate debt advisory

Chris Holmes has joined Deloitte’s financial advisory practice as a partner to build a new business offering debt advisory services to the real estate sector.

Chris joins Deloitte from boutique firm Capra Global Partners and prior to that he was previously EMEA head of Debt Advisory at JLL until 2019. Chris brings with him over 25 years’ experience in European real estate debt and investment.

The new real estate debt advisory offering will be part of Deloitte’s 100-person strong UK Debt and Capital Advisory (DCA) team, headed by Chris Skinner. The offering will sit alongside the existing infrastructure and real estate assets teams headed by Phil Adam.

The wider DCA business provides borrower side debt advisory and treasury services to corporates, infrastructure, private equity and privately owned companies.

Commenting on the appointment, Chris Skinner, Deloitte partner and head of DCA said: “Having someone of Chris Holmes’ standing and experience to head our new real estate debt advisory business is a great coup, particularly given the strength of crossover with Deloitte’s real estate division and other service lines.
