Deloitte acquires specialists Regester Larkin to double crisis and strategic risk business
13 December 2016
Deloitte, the business advisory firm, today announces the acquisition of crisis, issues and reputation management consultancy Regester Larkin.
Regester Larkin, internationally recognised as a leader in this field, will be merged with Deloitte’s existing crisis and resilience business to form one of the largest and most comprehensive fully-dedicated practices in this highly specialist area. The new practice will be 70-strong, with six partners, operating under the Regester Larkin by Deloitte brand.
For more than 20 years, Regester Larkin has advised on some of the highest profile corporate crises.
Rick Cudworth, Deloitte Crisis and Resilience Partner, said:
“From day one we will come together under the new Regester Larkin by Deloitte brand. By combining with Regester Larkin’s unrivalled experience and skills in crisis, issues and reputation management we will deepen our ability to support the growing demand of our clients in dealing with strategic risks through a fully integrated crisis management solution.”
Andrew Griffin, CEO of Regester Larkin, said:
“This is a hugely exciting opportunity for Regester Larkin and for our clients. We are looking forward to the scope, reach, depth and access to additional expertise that being part of Deloitte will bring. We are particularly delighted that Deloitte is keen to invest in and grow our strategic crisis response, crisis communication and issues management offerings. Our clients love the fact that our crisis preparedness advice is based on our real life response experience and we look forward to supporting many more organisations as they respond to strategic issues and crises.”
The acquisition comes at a time when businesses are facing uncertainties, growing threats from cyber and other strategic risks, and corporate reputations are under greater scrutiny. It supports Deloitte’s growth agenda and focuses on issues that matter to our clients at Board and senior executive level.
David Noon, Head of Risk Advisory for Deloitte UK and EMEA, said:
“The creation of Regester Larkin by Deloitte is testament to the work and investment we continue to make in our risk advisory business. Bringing the talent in the Regester Larkin team across and retaining their long-recognised brand in this specialist discipline, will enable us to grow the business and better support our clients in times of uncertainty and urgent need.”
