Deloitte Digital appoints first UK chief creative officer
17 August 2017
Deloitte today announces the appointment of Andy Sandoz as a partner and UK chief creative officer (CCO) of the firm’s creative digital consultancy, Deloitte Digital.
Andy will lead Deloitte Digital’s full-range of creative services for clients in the UK, which includes oversight of those within the firm’s recently acquired digital businesses, Acne and Market Gravity. He will be based in Deloitte Digital’s studio in Clerkenwell, London.
Andy was previously executive creative director of Havas London, where he co-led the agency’s creative department. He co-founded Work Club in 2007, which explored new structures, technologies and digital solutions to business problems. Work Club won Campaign’s digital agency of the year in 2012, and became part of Havas Group in 2014.
With over 20 years’ experience in the industry, Andy has held creative director positions at Agency Republic, Random Media and Static 2358. He was appointed 2016 president of D&AD, the not-for-profit group which promotes excellence in design and advertising.
Sam Roddick, UK head of Deloitte Digital, explains: “Deloitte Digital continues to see strong growth, driven by the impact of disruptive technologies on our clients who are increasingly seeking a partner who can support all aspects of their digital transformation. Creative design is an essential part of imagining and delivering the new customer experiences and business models that are needed to respond to digital disruption. As the creative side of our business continues to expand to meet demand, it was important that we appoint someone in the UK to help lead the team.
“I speak for everyone at Deloitte Digital, Market Gravity and Acne when I say that we’re thrilled that Andy – as such as industry heavyweight – has decided to join the firm. We were impressed by Andy’s enthusiasm to solve business problems and achieve the best possible outcome for clients and customers alike. Not only did his experience speak for itself, but his passion to make the industry a better place through his work with D&AD, is fantastic.”
Andy Sandoz added: “I believe creativity is more commercially and socially impactful when applied to the whole business, beyond just marketing. My best work-to-date has been using ideas backed by new technologies to help redefine my clients’ businesses for a better future. With Deloitte Digital we have the ability, credibility and access to totally transform a business. I was impressed with the consultancy’s senior relationships and depth of expertise across multiple industries, our strong cultural fit and shared positive vision. This is an exciting point to become part of Deloitte Digital’s creative development.”
